Houston is celebrating Independence Day all weekend long. Here are two annual events you won’t want to miss!
Freedom Over Texas Festival
When: July 4, 2021
Where: Eleanor Tinsley Park at Buffalo Bayou
Bring the whole family to enjoy live entertainment, food booths, and a world-famous fireworks display!
Star Spangled Salute
When: July 4, 2021, at 7:00-10:00pm
Where: This event can be enjoyed from anywhere! This year’s Shell Freedom Over Texas celebration will return via live broadcast to continue to keep Houstonians safe.
Simply tune into ABC13 Houston for a patriotic evening complete with a special moment with the Houston Symphony, and a musical lineup featuring Lee Brice, Jimmie Allen, Alanis Sophia, and Brian Jack and the Zydeco Gamblers! This event is perfect for anyone hanging out by the pool or at a BBQ.
San Antonio
While at Quality RV Resorts in San Antonio, be sure to stop by the biggest and best party in town!
San Antonio’s Official Independence Day Celebration
When: July 4, 2021, at 3:00-9:00pm
Where: Woodlawn Lake Park
Come participate in a day full of games, good food, and musical entertainment! The whole family will enjoy this event which includes many activities, such as the popular “Firecracker Fit-Family Walk/Run” around the lake, free Zumba sessions, carnival games and rides, face-painting, and other children’s activities and workshops.
Live entertainment includes the US Air Force Band of The West, and local Selena Tribute Act, Bidi Bidi Banda, with more artists and performers to be announced.
Don’t forget to grab a plate full of delicious food before watching the highlight of the night: The H-E-B Fireworks Spectacular!
This is a FREE event sponsored by the San Antonio Parks Foundation, in cooperation with the City of San Antonio and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Fourth of July Miller Lite Blastoff
When: July 4, 2021 at 5:00pm
Where: Victoria Community Center (361-485-3215)
Featuring live music by New Orleans’ premiere party band, Bag of Donuts, kicking off at 6:15PM. Stick around for the fireworks at 9:30PM!
Brazoria County
Kick off the weekend early with a fireworks show on Saturday night in Angleton!
Freedom Fireworks Show
When: July 3, 2021 at 9:20pm
Where: The Brazoria County Fairgrounds
The fireworks will be simulcast to music from Alvin Community College on KACC FM 89.7! There will be sno-cones, ice cream, kettle corn and other food vendors present. 93Q will pass out interesting promotional materials.
